LEAD components
Launch event
This one-day event, at Stirling Management Centre, will introduce participants to the programme, the tutors and the other participants, and begin the process of choosing and planning their evaluation.
Learning contract
Participants will enter into a written contract with their sponsor (line manager or senior manager from their organisation) and their Airthrey tutor. This contract will specify the learning evaluation to be conducted for the programme, the timetable, and resource and reporting requirements.
Masterclass workshops
There will be two x one-day Masterclass workshops - Masterclass 1: Learning Evaluation Approaches and Masterclass 2: Applied Research Methods. Both will be held early in the programme, at Stirling Management Centre, to equip participants for the work ahead.
Individual tuition
Participants in the programme will have the opportunity of three x one-hour individual tutorial sessions with a dedicated Airthrey tutor. These can take place via telephone, video conferencing or face-to-face in Stirling University Innovation Park. These one-to-one sessions will take place at different points through the programme to meet the needs of individual learners. In addition, participants will have regular contact with their tutor by telephone and email.
Action Learning Set
Participants will form an action learning set, with the support of an Airthrey tutor, to provide peer support to one another drawing on the broad expertise of the other LEAD participants.
Online workspace
A secure online workspace will support the action learning set, providing scope for document sharing and interaction with other participants.
Real learning evaluation
Each participant will conduct an evaluation of a real learning initiative within their organisation, evaluating its business impact.
Final presentation & feedback
The final one-day event, at Stirling Management Centre, will feature a presentation by each participant, to the other participants, their sponsors, and their tutors, detailing the findings and conclusions of their evaluation. The sponsors and tutors will give verbal feedback.
